Sir, the following lines were written in behalf of several
old, but ingenious and useful artificers, who, with many
others, were turn'd out of the service at the late discharge
of shipwrights, &c. in our yard.  If you have so much
concern for the sufferings of the helpless Your humble
servant, A.B.
  What falsehoods some in post advise !
  And to bad actions add base lies !
